DetailThe Soldano SLO II Tube Preamp Module lets you tap into one of the most iconic high-gain tones in rock history. Based on Mike Soldano's legendary SLO-100 amplifier, this all-tube preamp module provides the thick, creamy gain and endless sustain that shaped the sound of '80s hard rock. With independent EQs and overdrive switches on each of two channels, you have the control to craft your own signature Soldano tone. All-Tube Design Delivers Authentic Soldano Sound Rather than modeling the SLO-100, Mike Soldano designed this preamp module to provide the same rich harmonic performance and touch response as his iconic amp. Powered by a pair of 12AX7 preamp tubes, the SLO II module gives you the unmistakable Soldano voice in a simple plug-and-play unit. From searing leads to tight rhythm tones, this module delivers the gain, warmth and articulation that made the SLO-100 a legend. Sculpt Your Tone with Dedicated Channel EQ Unlike the original SLO preamp module, the SLO II provides independent three-band EQ on each of its two channels. This gives you the flexibility to precisely shape the tone on Channel A and B individually for recording or performance. Boost the mids for a punchy rhythm sound on one channel and scoop them on the other for a searing lead tone. With bass, middle and treble controls at your fingertips, you have the tone-crafting power of a full SLO-100 in a single preamp module. Switch Between Overdrive and Crunch Following the design of the SLO-100, each channel on the SLO II module features an overdrive/crunch switch. In overdrive mode, you get the saturated distortion and endless sustain that made Soldano famous. Activate the crunch setting for a grittier and more dynamic grind. With a switch on each channel, you can have overdrive on one side and crunch on the other or overdrive on both for the most aggressive Soldano tone. This versatility provides a range of gain settings for any playing situation. Tighten Up Your Sound with Normal/Tight Switch The SLO II module gives you another way to control your gain with Normal/Tight switches on each channel. In Normal mode, you get the iconic open and resonant Soldano voice. Engage the Tight switch to tighten the low end for a more controlled response as you push the overdrive. The Tight setting is ideal for modern metal and hard rock styles. With a switch on each channel, you have the flexibility to set each side to your perfect gain response.
