Smooth Workflow Removes Creative Barriers The FANTOM-6 features a seamless workflow with no confusing modes, frustrating limits or compromised sound quality. You can move freely between sounds, patterns and performance layouts arranged in customized spaces called Scenes. Scenes can contain an entire song, part of a song or a starting point with your favorite sounds laid out as desired. Scenes are chained together instantly with no gaps, allowing your creativity to flow uninterrupted. Authentic Grand Piano and Synth Sounds The FANTOM-6 uses multiple technologies to produce authentic acoustic and electronic sounds. Its piano sounds use V-Piano technology for realistic feel and response. The synth engine generates classic analog synth tones and modern digital sounds. You can also sample your own sounds and trigger up to 2GB of loops and one-shots using the pad matrix. An analog filter adds warmth and grit. The FANTOM-6 lets you mix soft synths with its internal sounds for customized tones. Playability and Expression The FANTOM-6 focuses on playability, featuring Roland's best keyboards and controls for expression. The 88-note model has the acclaimed PHA-50 action. New semi-weighted actions on the 61 and 76-note models also feel solid, precise and responsive. Aftertouch allows for expressive playing. Numerous knobs, sliders and pads provide intuitive, hands-on control with high resolution for fine adjustments and smooth sweeps. Support for additional controllers like pedals allows you to play the FANTOM-6 however you like. Onboard Sequencing Tools for Composition The FANTOM-6 includes all the tools you need to compose music. Its step sequencer is modeled on the TR-808 and TR-909 drum machines, with updates like sub-steps and motion control. Real-time recording allows piano-roll editing. A clip launcher lets you record and trigger clips containing drum, bass and pad patterns. Patterns created using the different tools can be combined in Scenes for arranging songs.
