When you play towards the center, the solid birch resonating body expands the low frequencies to achieve a deep, punchy bass, much like a kick drum. Internal Snare System Adds Crisp Sizzle Fitted against the inside of the playing surface is an internal snare system made of coiled wires. When you slap the front plate, these wires rattle and snap for an bright sizzling effect, adding texture and dimension to your sounds. Adjust the snare wires to your desired tautness using the tension knob for more or less snap.
