DetailThe Fender Custom Shop 1963 Telecaster Custom Journeyman Relic electric guitar, masterbuilt by Paul Waller, is a true piece of art. This guitar blends the classic tones of a 1963 Telecaster with modern reliability and playability. Built by one of Fender's most respected master builders, this Telecaster features the Journeyman Relic finish, giving it the perfect balance of light aging and a well-worn look. With hand-selected tonewoods and meticulously crafted hardware, this guitar is ideal for both collectors and working musicians seeking a true vintage experience with modern precision. Premium Tonewoods for a Balanced, Resonant Sound At the heart of this Telecaster’s tone is its alder body, chosen for its balanced tonal qualities. The AAA rosewood fingerboard is paired with a rifle-sawn maple neck, providing smooth playability and a rich, full sound. The guitar’s nitrocellulose lacquer finish allows the wood to resonate fully, giving you a warm, open tone that improves with time. Fender has also sorted the body for lightweight construction, ensuring this guitar is as comfortable to play as it is beautiful to behold. Authentic Electronics for Vintage-Inspired Tones The Custom Shop 1963 Telecaster is equipped with custom electronics that deliver the legendary Tele tone. In the neck, it features a Josefina hand-wound humbucker, offering rich, warm tones with plenty of body. The bridge houses a hand-wound 50-51 Blackguard single-coil, providing the classic Tele twang with punchy articulation. Paired with a 3-way selector switch and a modern Tele control assembly, these pickups cover a wide range of genres, from blues and rock to country and jazz. Classic Hardware Built for Performance Built for stage and studio alike, this Telecaster is equipped with a custom bridge assembly featuring Gatton-style saddles for improved intonation and sustain. The Fender vintage-style tuners with the classic Fender logo provide reliable tuning stability, while the knurled chrome knobs offer smooth volume and tone adjustments. Whether you're performing live or recording in the studio, the guitar’s solid hardware ensures consistent, high-quality performance.
