DetailThe Fender Custom Shop 1960 Telecaster Custom Heavy Relic gives you vintage tone and feel in a road-worn package. Designed for players seeking an authentic relic'd guitar with the resonance and sustain of an instrument that's been lovingly played for decades. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish has been deeply distressed to mimic years of heavy use, giving it a comfortably broken-in feel the moment you pick it up. Vintage Specs for Legendary Tone This Custom Shop Tele was built with an alder body and quartersawn maple neck to provide the resonant, balanced tone for which vintage Teles are famous. Its narrow tall frets, bone nut and brass bridge saddles give chords and melodies articulate voice and clarity. When you plug in the hand-wound '58 single-coil Tele pickups, you'll hear why players from Keith Richards to John Frusciante have relied on the Telecaster's crystalline sound. Comfortable Relic'd Neck Feels Like an Old Friend The quartersawn maple neck has been carefully relic'd to match the aged look of the body. Its worn nitrocellulose lacquer finish and dings give it a comfortable, broken-in feel—as if you've been playing it for years. The large C profile provides a substantial grip for chording and rhythm work, while still being fast and agile enough for solos. The rosewood fingerboard's 21 narrow-tall frets are ideal for bending strings and achieving the perfect intonation. Premium Pickups Provide Classic Tele Tone The 1960 Telecaster Custom Heavy Relic is loaded with a pair of Custom Shop handwound '58 single-coil Tele pickups for crisp, articulate tone with balanced lows and crystalline highs. Switch between the bridge pickup for bright, cutting Tele twang or the neck pickup for warmer, fuller tones. Dial in just the right amount of highs and lows with the master volume and tone knobs. Whether you want to cut through the mix with aggressive treble or round out your sound with more bass, these vintage-style pickups have you covered. Telecaster Bridge Delivers Iconic Punch Staying true to the original Telecaster design, this guitar features a 3-saddle vintage-style bridge. The brass barrel saddles provide superb intonation for chiming tone and clear string definition. Combined with the alder body, the bridge helps produce the characteristic twang and punch the Telecaster is known for. The compensated saddles also keep your tone balanced for chord work across the fingerboard.
