DetailThe BOSS SY-1 Synthesizer puts a world of expressive synth sounds at your feet. This innovative pedal packs 121 polyphonic voices into an easy-to-use compact stompbox, transforming your guitar into an analog-style synthesizer. Just plug in and instantly access leads, pads, organs and basses with the turn of a knob, all with zero latency. Tweak Any Sound to Perfection With 11 categories and over 100 voices, the SY-1 offers an enormous array of synth tones with analog style. Expressive leads, sweeping pads, layered organs and fat basses are all available at your command. What's more, the Tone/Rate and Depth knobs let you adjust any synth voice to your liking, including changing the pitch on select sounds. Whether you need a searing lead to cut through the mix or a warm pad to fill in the background, the SY-1 puts the perfect synth tone at your fingertips. Seamless Integration Into Any Rig Despite its advanced technology, the SY-1 is as easy to use as any standard compact pedal. It connects to your guitar via a 1/4" cable and slides effortlessly into your existing pedalboard setup. The SY-1 also features a send/return loop and dedicated mix controls, allowing you to blend other pedals, like drive, modulation or delay, in parallel with the synth sounds. You can even use the send as a direct out to route the synth and guitar tones to separate destinations for maximum flexibility. Enhance Your Performance The SY-1 offers several ways to make your synth performances more dynamic and expressive. Press and hold the pedal switch to sustain the last-played synth sound, then jam over the top with your guitar. You can also connect an external footswitch for tap tempo and octave shift effects, or plug in an expression pedal for continuous control of the Tone/Rate. With real-time control at your feet, you can take your synth performance to new heights. Compact, Reliable and Ready to Play As a BOSS compact pedal, the SY-1 is built to withstand the rigors of stage and studio use while taking up minimal space on your board. Its intuitive interface and plug-and-play operation also mean you can start using this powerful synth tool right out of the box, with no complex programming required. If you're looking to infuse your playing with analog-style synth tones, the SY-1 is the most expressive, hands-free solution available in such a small, reliable package.
