The keys have a balanced, responsive feel across the octaves. For split keyboard parts, you can divide the Launchkey 61 into two independent zones and play different MIDI channels with each hand. Built-in Creative Tools The Launchkey 61 MK4 features an arpeggiator, chord modes and a scale mode to spark your creativity. The arpeggiator generates rhythmic patterns from the notes you play. Chord modes trigger full chords from single notes. Scale mode locks the keyboard to notes in a chosen scale, helping you discover harmonic ideas. Use the components app to customize how the Launchkey 61 MK4's controls interact with your synths and plugins. Expandable Setup In addition to controlling your DAW, the Launchkey 61 MK4 works great with iOS music apps and external MIDI gear. Its MIDI out connects directly to synths and other hardware.
