DetailPlug in and turn heads with the Martin GPCX1E X Series left-handed grand performance acoustic-electric guitar. With its sleek satin black high-pressure laminate (HPL) top, back and sides, the GPCX1E makes a dramatic visual statement on stage. But this innovative Martin guitar has the sound to back up its looks, with the dynamic tone and comfortable playability that left-handed musicians demand. Striking Satin Black HPL Construction The GPCX1E flaunts a bold, all-black aesthetic unlike any other Martin guitar. Its top, back and sides are all crafted from durable black HPL that looks fantastic under stage lighting. Weighing less than solid wood, the HPL build makes this an easy-to-handle grand performance acoustic for travel and gigs. Despite its lightweight body, the GPCX1E still resonates with the balanced, projecting tone that Martin guitars are revered for. Martin E-1 Electronics With Built-in Tuner and Controls Plug in the GPCX1E to amplify its dynamic sound through any PA or amp. It comes equipped with Martin's E-1 electronics, featuring volume, tone and phase controls to shape your amplified tone. There's even a built-in chromatic tuner, making it easy to keep your GPCX1E in tune whether practicing alone or on stage. The E-1 preamp has been optimized for the acoustic tone of Martin guitars, giving you natural amplified sound. Grand Performance Body Style Offers Balanced Tone With its grand performance body style, the GPCX1E provides balanced tone with plenty of projection. The large lower bout adds bass resonance to fill out the low end. Yet the grand performance style remains comfortable to hold and play thanks to its slimmer waist. The included cutaway enables easy access to high notes on the 20-fret fingerboard. Thinner Neck Profile Improves Playability Shredding solos is effortless on the GPCX1E's smooth, slim neck profile. Martin narrowed the nut width to 1?/4", while also flattening the fingerboard radius to 16" for buttery playability. The neck has a thin taper too, making it easy to grip and enabling fast runs across the fingerboard. The thinner profile increases comfort, especially for guitarists with smaller hands.
