DetailThe Eric Johnson Signature 11-hole prewired Strat pickguard lets you customize your Stratocaster's tone with ease. Made by Fender with premium components in the same factory as their iconic guitars, this drop-in pickguard upgrades your instrument's sound. Simply remove your old guard, solder the lead and ground wires to the output jack, screw in the new guard and you're ready to rock with pure Fender tone. Custom-Voiced Pickups Provide a Balanced Tone With slightly hotter output than typical vintage pickups and a powerful combination of alnico magnets, these custom-voiced pickups produce a perfect balance of clean, dirty rhythm and singing lead tones. The neck pickup based on a '54 Strat pickup uses oversized Alnico 3 magnets for a warm, round tone. The reverse-wound middle pickup with specially treated alnico magnets cancels hum when used with the neck or bridge pickup. The alnico five bridge pickup is voiced to be hotter without losing sparkly treble. Drop-in Installation Lets You Customize Your Strat Transforming your Strat's tone is as easy as changing pickguards with the Eric Johnson prewired pickguard. Just remove your existing pickguard, solder the lead and ground wire to the output jack to the new 11-hole pickguard and screw it into place. With premium Fender craftsmanship, you can upgrade your guitar's heart and soul in minutes. Dynamic and Responsive Playing With Alnico Magnets The powerful alnico magnets in the custom pickups make them dynamically responsive to your picking technique and volume knob adjustments. From delicate cleans to raunchy overdrive, you'll feel more connected to your guitar. The pickups also retain clarity during complex chords and fast leads. Their high sensitivity lets your playing shine. Reverse-Wound Middle Pickup Cancels Hum The reverse-wound middle pickup is a smart way to eliminate hum in the two and four switch positions. By reversing the coil windings, it cancels out electromagnetic interference when combined with the neck or bridge pickup.
