DetailThe Gibson Custom M2M 1957 Les Paul Standard Gloss electric guitar is a truly unique instrument, crafted to exacting specifications as part of the Gibson Custom Shop’s Made 2 Measure (M2M) program. Each guitar in the M2M program is individually designed and custom-built to meet the preferences of the player, ensuring no two guitars are alike. With its stunning double gold finish and vintage-style appointments, this 1957 Les Paul Standard captures the essence of one of Gibson’s most iconic models, while offering modern enhancements for unparalleled playability and tone. Custombuckers for Authentic Vintage Tone Outfitted with Custombuckers, the M2M 1957 Les Paul Standard delivers the warm, full-bodied tone that made the original ?0s Les Pauls legendary. These unpotted, handwound pickups offer incredible clarity and articulation, whether you’re playing clean or pushing your amp into overdrive. Expect rich lows, smooth mids and crisp highs, with the dynamic response that players love in vintage PAF-style pickups. Paired with True Historic covers and rings, this guitar offers the tonal magic of the ?0s with the reliability of modern craftsmanship. 1959 Les Paul Body Construction for Maximum Resonance The M2M 1957 Les Paul Standard features a two-piece plain maple top and a lightweight one-piece mahogany body, crafted using True Historic hide glue construction for superior resonance and sustain. The body is routed and drilled to 1959 Les Paul Carmelita specifications, ensuring the perfect combination of weight and balance. The guitar's double gold finish adds a touch of elegance, while the nitrocellulose lacquer allows the wood to breathe and age naturally over time, giving the guitar a truly vintage look and feel. Comfortable 1958 True Historic Neck With Rosewood Fingerboard The neck of this Les Paul is made from a solid piece of mahogany and shaped to 1958 True Historic dimensions, offering a substantial yet comfortable feel for both rhythm and lead playing. The Indian rosewood fingerboard provides smooth playability, while the 22 Jescar vintage-style frets offer a classic feel under your fingers. The fingerboard is adorned with 2019 reissue inlays made from new material for an authentic vintage aesthetic. With a scale length of 24.75", this guitar offers the same playing experience as the original 1957 Les Paul. Vintage-Style Hardware and Gloss Finish for Classic Appeal The Gibson M2M 1957 Les Paul Standard is equipped with vintage-accurate hardware, including a Kluson Reissue tuners, an ABR-1 bridge and a lightweight tailpiece with long studs and anchors. The True Historic reissue pickguard, knobs and switch tip further add to the guitar’s period-correct appeal. Finished in a stunning gloss nitro lacquer, this guitar not only looks like a piece of history but feels like one too.
