DetailFormed in 1999, Avenged Sevenfold have pushed the metal/rock/guitar gods' walls further away from the rest of the world. Hailing from Huntington Beach, California, the menace of Synyster Gates & Zacky Vengeance have given rise, once again, to the dueling ferocity of six-string madness.Schecter Guitars has been at the forefront of their onslaught through it all. The Schecter Zacky Vengeance 6661 electric guitar is as unique as the metal master who designed it. With 6661 graphics and ZV switchblade 12th fret inlay on the rosewood fingerboard, this Schecter guitar delivers Zacky-style riffs. The mahogany body and neck have the classic dark tones and sustain that have defined rock guitar. Seymour Duncan SH-4 humbuckers with a push-pull coil-splitting on the tone control give you a wide variety of tone to play with. Grover machine heads ensure steady tuning while the TonePros bridge keeps accurate intonation. Three-piece mahogany neckMade with three pieces of mahogany for extra stability. Three-piece necks can withstand the test of time. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the three-piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability.Rosewood fingerboardThe most common fretboard, rosewood is naturally oily, and works well for any surface that sees frequent human contact. The sound is richer in fundamental than maple because the stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pores. Seymour Duncan SH-4 (JB) pickups with Custom Pickup RingsThe Zacky 6661 has custom distressed covered Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB humbuckers in both positions and custom pickup rings (by Creepy Pewter). Seymour Duncan SH-4 (JB) pickups have been the archetype hot-rodded humbucker for over 30 years. Great for everything from heavy blues to heavy metal.Grover TunersRotomatics with 18:1 gear ratio (102-18 series). The original Rotomatic with an improved higher ratio gearing, the 18:1 ratio provides for finer tuning and greater stability. The finer gears provide smoother tuning and a higher degree of backlash elimination.
