DetailThe Taylor 914ce V-Class Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar combines cutting-edge design with premium materials for an instrument that looks and sounds as good as it plays. Featuring the groundbreaking V-Class bracing system, the solid Sitka spruce top produces notes that ring louder, clearer and longer than traditionally braced guitars. The Indian rosewood back and sides complement the top with a rich, warm tone that emphasizes the bass and treble frequencies. Together, these tonewoods create an acoustic voice with sparkling highs, a throaty midrange and deep lows that bloom and sustain. V-Class Bracing Unlocks the Guitar's True Voice Taylor's patented V-Class bracing represents an evolution in acoustic guitar design. It boosts volume, enhances sustain and resolves intonation issues that have long affected acoustic guitars. The result is a purer, more consistent tone with notes that sound truer all along the fretboard. When playing chords, the individual notes are more clearly defined instead of clashing or sounding out of tune. Whether fingerpicking or strumming, the 914ce rings with a musicality not found in traditionally braced guitars. Plug in and Preserve Your Authentic Tone The 914ce features Taylor's ES2 electronics, which capture the nuances of your playing and accurately translate them to an amplified signal. At the heart of the ES2 system are three individual pickup sensors positioned behind the saddle. Because they don't sit under the saddle, the bottom of the saddle remains in full contact with the bridge, enabling the same crisp, balanced tone whether playing acoustically or plugged in. Onstage or in the studio, the ES2 preamp provides intuitive volume, bass and treble controls so you can easily shape your tone to suit the venue. Playability and Precision in Every Detail From the cutaway body and ebony fretboard to the premium tuners, the 914ce is built for performance. The cutaway gives you full access to the upper frets, while the low-profile ebony fretboard and slim mahogany neck feel fast and familiar. Precision Gotoh 510 tuners with a 21:1 gear ratio enable quick, accurate tuning. An abalone and mother-of-pearl inlay at the 12th fret highlights the guitar's high-end appointments, which also include an abalone rosette, koa purfling and ebony binding.
