DetailDW's extended "XF" footboard has become a popular go-to option for players who want increased power from each bass drum stroke, more room to accommodate larger feet, or else just prefer the comfort that comes with an extra inch worth of surface area. Now, the XF feature has become available for the DW 5000 Series pedals—the pedals that started it all. A classic, expandedNow an industry standard, the DW 5000 Accelerator double bass drum pedal offers unmistakably honed feel and road-worthy performance. Years of accumulated advancements, refinements and upgrades to the 5000 Series have made these cutting-edge pedals the prized possessions of drummers around the world. The DW 5000 Series Accelerator XF double pedal is everything that made the original such a well-trusted icon, stretched to accomodate another class of player. All the bells and whistlesBeyond the XL footboard, this model includes all the professional enhancements that players expect from the 5000 Series double pedals. The AD4 "Accelerator" drive system offers an eccentric motion that creates an indirect relationship between the sprocket and the footboard, increasing the velocity of the pedal by shortening the length of the stroke for extra speed and sensitivity. This double kick pedal also includes a tri-pivot toe clamp to fit more hoop sizes, dual-chain drive, Delta ball-bearing hinge and dual-bearing spring rocker. It's built with a single post so that the remote pedal fits closely with the 5000 Series hi-hat stand (now also available as an XF model). All these components come together for that distinctive DW 5000 feel that will impress from the very first stroke.
