DetailThe Dan Moore Marimba/Vibraphone Mallet series was developed by Innovative Percussion for musician, composer, and educator Dr. Dan Moore. For Dan, creating music is the art of sculpting sound. Whether in a live concert or in the recording studio, making art with sound is all about choosing the right tools to chisel, smooth, hammer and shape your music. All the mallets in the line highlight Moore's signature full-bodied, resonant and "fruity" sound. These mallets work well on vibes and marimba and can be mixed and matched to help you create your own sculpture in sound.DM18 DM18 Deep MarimbaBrings out the rich lows of the marimba without excessive saturation. This model offers a nice little punch in the low register along with a deep, clear tone.DM21 Medium Marimba/VibeFeatures a full, warm, resonant tone with a tight, focused attack for solo marimba and vibes. This mallet's "Bel-Canto" sound provides an excellent timbre on extended range vibes, or it can be used for a soft vibe mallet in a small combo.DM26 Medium Hard Marimba/VibeWith a little more presence, this mallet offers the same full-bodied marimba sound that is the hallmark of the DM Series. It offers slightly more projection for solo and duo marimba, solo vibes, and chamber music. The DM26 sounds great on the full range of the 5.0 octave marimba and the 3.5 octave vibraphone.DM28 Jazz VibeSlightly lighter than the DM26, the DM28 works well in the upper registers of the marimba for combo/ensemble performance. It features a rich tone with good projection and a modern jazz sound. The DM28 also works well for unaccompanied vibes performance.DM31 Hard VibeWith a much larger presence, the DM31 features a lighter, brighter, zingy jazz vibe sound, while retaining the Dan Moore Series full-bodied sound.
