DetailThe Source Audio ZIO Analog Bass Preamp + DI pedal gives you an expansive palette of tones to shape your bass sound. The ZIO was designed in collaboration with SHOE Pedals to provide maximum versatility in an intuitive, compact package. Ultra-Quiet Analog Circuitry The all-analog signal path utilizes high-quality components to give you a range of EQ and overdrive options with no unwanted noise. The Bass and Focus knobs offer a powerful low end boost and a high-pass filter to tighten up the bottom end. With a turn of these responsive controls, you can achieve a tight punch or loose vintage growl. Natural-Sounding Overdrive Push your tone into overdrive territory with the Grit toggle. It emulates the gradual breakup of a tube amp pushed to its limit, capturing the warmth and richness of transformer saturation. Set the amount of gain to your liking with the Gain knob for anything from a hint of hair to full-on fuzz. The overdrive is touch sensitive, cleaning up when you roll back the volume and getting gnarly when you dig in. Midrange Clarity Activate the Scoop toggle to remove muddy frequencies from your tone. It's based on the legendary "Pultec Trick," a technique engineers have used for decades to tighten up bass tracks in the studio. The Scoop mode provides a focused midrange cut, allowing the essential frequencies of your bass to shine through for a mix-ready sound. Flexible Outputs The ZIO offers three outputs to suit any application. The 1/4" jack feeds your amp or pedalboard, the XLR DI sends a balanced signal to the mixing board and the headphone out lets you practice in silence with studio-quality sound. Ground lift the DI for noiseless operation and take your preamp tone straight to the front of house.
