DetailThe Tone King Imperial MKII tube combo amp brings the classic tones of yesteryear together with modern features for flexibility. This 20W all-tube amp has two independent channels for sparkling clean tones and rich, harmonic overdrive. Dial in vintage tweed and blackface sounds, aided by lush, tube-driven spring reverb and tremolo effects. With the Ironman II attenuator, you can experience full tube saturation at any volume level. The Imperial MKII's 12" Eminence speaker and tube output section deliver 20 watts of dynamic tube tone. Though the Imperial MKII looks like a vintage gem, its circuitry and build quality are thoroughly modern for reliability night after night. Two Independent Channels With Vintage Tweed and Blackface Voicings The Imperial MKII gives you two distinct channels for a wide range of legendary tones. The Normal channel summons up sparkling cleans with a tweed-style bite that's great as a pedal platform. Switch to the Drive channel to unleash harmonically rich overdrive with a blackface-style midrange focus. Dial in anything from subtle breakup to fully cranked tube tones. The MKII's channels have been re-voiced since the original Imperial for even better sound. From shimmering cleans to saturated overdrive, this amp nails vintage Fender flavors with rich complexity. Ironman II Attenuator Lets You Crank Your Tubes at any Volume Thanks to the built-in Ironman II attenuator, you can experience the Imperial MKII's cranked tube tones at almost any volume level. The attenuator uses reactive load technology to preserve your amp's natural feel and response even as you turn down. Crank up the Drive channel for singing tube overdrive, then attenuate to keep volume in check. Whether you're at home, in the studio or on a quiet stage, the Ironman II lets your tubes hit their sweet spot. Onboard Tube-Driven Spring Reverb and Tremolo What vintage amp would be complete without lush reverb and pulsating tremolo? The Imperial MKII features all-tube reverb and tremolo circuits for organic, dynamic effects. The spring reverb tank provides splashy trails with a three-dimensional sound, while the tremolo breathes life into your tone with expressive, bias-modulated pulses. Dial in anything from a touch of ambience to swimming reverb and slow, hypnotic tremolo. These built-in effects round out the MKII's wide range of vintage American tones. 20W of Tube Power and Custom 12" Speaker For dynamic tube tone that reacts to your playing, the Imperial MKII houses a quartet of tubes in its preamp and power amp sections, pumping out 20W of rich analog power. This feeds the MKII's 12" Eminence speaker, which was custom-designed by Tone King to complement the amp's entire frequency range with balanced response and smooth breakup. From clean headroom to overdriven roar, the Imperial MKII's all-tube design and matched speaker provide touch-sensitive tone and interactive response.
