DetailThe Walrus Audio 385 MkII Overdrive is a unique pedal that captures the sought-after sound of vintage Bell and Howell 385 Filmosound projectors, which were often modified and used as guitar amplifiers. This pedal delivers a wide range of overdriven tones, from warm and subtle to thick and saturated, all while retaining the dynamic response and touch sensitivity of the original projector amps. Enhanced Tone-Shaping Capabilities The 385 MkII features an expanded tone control section compared to its predecessor, allowing for greater versatility in shaping your sound. Separate Bass and Treble controls provide precise control over the low and high frequencies, enabling you to dial in a wide range of tones, from mid-scooped crunch to full-bodied overdrive. The 385+ switch adds an additional gain stage at the front of the pedal, delivering thick, saturated overdrive with increased sustain. Dual Gain Stages for Versatile Performance The 385 MkII features an A/B switch that allows you to toggle between two independent sets of Volume and Gain controls. This essentially gives you two overdrive pedals in one, allowing you to quickly switch between different gain levels and volumes for rhythm and lead playing, or to create unique stacked overdrive textures. Dynamic Response and Touch Sensitivity The 385 MkII is designed to capture the dynamic feel and responsiveness of the original projector amps. The pedal runs internally at 18V, providing ample headroom and a touch-sensitive response that reacts to your playing dynamics with exceptional clarity and detail. Whether you're playing subtle blues licks or aggressive rock riffs, the 385 MkII delivers the nuanced overdrive you need. Walrus Audio 2024 Floral Series ?Limited-Edition Designs The 385 MkII Overdrive is part of Walrus Audio's 2024 Floral Series, featuring a limited-edition design with a stunning floral pattern on the pedal's enclosure. This unique aesthetic adds a touch of artistry and individuality to your pedalboard, making the 385 MkII a visual and sonic standout.
