DetailThe BOSS Katana Gen 3 100W guitar amplifier head lets you sculpt your signature sound. Powered by BOSS' advanced Tube Logic technology, this 100-watt amp head delivers 12 distinct amp characters with tube-inspired tone and feel. The newly developed PUSHED amp character provides expressive, touch-responsive gain perfect for edge-of-breakup playing styles. BOSS continues to lead in sound innovation with the Katana Gen 3 amplifiers, featuring revamped I/O and six unique amp characters—expandable to 12 with the Variation button. The latest models include the PUSHED edge of breakup amp tones and the BLOOM voicing switch on the HEAD and ARTIST models, enhancing every detail of your tone with superior sound quality, a customizable UI, and optional wireless streaming via the BTS app. Refined Tube Logic Tones Katana Gen 3 refines the acclaimed Tube Logic amplifier architecture at its core. The six amp characters available in previous Katana models have been enhanced for greater depth and dimension. The PUSHED amp character spotlights dynamic refinements, responding organically to your playing nuances. All 12 amp characters also include selectable variations for a wide range of tones. The BLOOM switch engages a dedicated circuit for a sharper attack and rich low end, achieving a feel that's usually difficult to get from a single amp. Professional Sound at Any Volume BOSS' Tube Logic platform lets you achieve a cranked-amp tone at lower volumes that won't disturb the neighbors. The Power Control provides fine-tuning over the amp's output level so you can get just the right amount of power tube drive and speaker interaction for your needs. Studio musicians will appreciate how this allows getting authentic overdriven tones without excessive volume. Updated Connectivity and Control The updated BOSS Tone Studio app provides an intuitive interface for crafting your sound from your mobile device or computer. Send and Return jacks allow integrating external stompboxes and studio gear with the amp. The Power Amp In bypasses Katana Gen 3's preamp section so you can use it as a power amp for a modeler or multi-effects unit. Stereo Expand mode creates an immersive playing experience using two Katana Gen 3 amps. Practice and Record With Onboard Speaker The Katana Head Gen 3 features a built-in 5" speaker, letting you practice, check tones and record in any environment without needing to connect an external cabinet. The line out, USB output and stereo headphones jack provide options for direct recording. The USB port also enables reamping tracks using the amp's Tone Studio editor and WAV files of your recorded guitar parts.*Note: Compatibility with all third-party devices and software is not guaranteed. An upcoming firmware update will provide generic driver support.
